CUSTODIANS OF OUR COMMON NATURAL HERITAGE
The Five Rivers Conservancy is a distinct bioregion within the Eastern Cape of South Africa, situated at the interface of the Garden Route Biosphere Reserve, the Eden to Addo Corridor, the Baviaanskloof Mega-Reserve, and the Indian Ocean.
The Conservancy spans the Kabejous, Gamtoos, Van Stadens, Maitland and Elands River catchment basins and affords pristine and endemic biodiversity, scenic landscapes, deep cultural heritage and a wide range of tourism experiences, creating an integrated conservation management and custodianship area of over 150 000 hectares.
